Survivor Philippines winner is Albert 'Betong' Sumaya

In the end, comedian   it was Albert "Betong" Sumaya who won the heart of the jury and was chosen to be the Next Celebrity Sole Survivor in Survivor Philippines Celebrity Doubles Showdown, during the Live Finale held earlier  Friday night, February 10, 2012 at GMA studio.


Fans of the Final 3 of Survivor Philippines Celebrity Doubles Showdown namely, Betong, Mara Lopez Yokohama and Stef Prescott gathered in the long-awaited Survivor Philippines Celebrity Doubles Showdown Live Finale held  Friday night, February 10, 2012 live at GMA studio.

Betong, won P3-million cash prize (tax-free) and becomes the Next Celebrity Sole Survivor as well as the first comedian winner of Survivor Philippines.

He got 4 votes from the Jury members, good enough to defeat
Mara Lopez Yokohama with 2 votes and Stef Prescott, who had 1 vote.

The finale episode actually began when host Richard Gutierrez called the castaways who were voted out in this season of Survivor Philippines namely, Geneva Cruz, Isabel Granada, Maria Isabel Lopez,  Ellen Adarna, Filo Cucueco, Carlo Gonzalez,  Alyssa Alano, Aifha Medina, Jackie Forster and  Angelicopter.
Jury members - the last seven contestants who voted off were also present in the live Finale namely Chuckie Dreyfus, Arthur Solinap, John Odulio, Gino Dela Peña, Arnold Aninion, Maey Bautista and KC Montero. The winner of Survivor Philippines Celebrity Doubles Showdown lies in their hands.
Once again Richard asked the Jury members if what they can say on the  Final 3 and why they should be hailed as the Next Celebrity Sole Survivor. Thereafter, Richard asked Betong, Mara and Stef of what they can say on their experienced in Survivor Philippines.

Finally, Richard Gutierrez counted the vote of the Jury members voted to choose the Next Celebrity Sole Survivor.

It was actually the results of the voting during their last tribal council at the island.

Chairman and Ceo of GMA Network Inc., Atty. Felipe Gozon and COO Gilberto Duavit, Jr.  handed the 3 million pesos cash prize to Betong.
