Salman’s gift for Riteish and Genelia! (India)

Mumbai: Salman Khan might have missed the wedding celebration of Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza, but the big hearted star has plans to make it up for his close friends in a grand way.

According to sources, Sallu has planned a holiday vacation as a gift for the newlyweds.

Sources confirm that a proposal to host a grand bash for Riteish and Genelia was mooted, but ultimately discarded, largely because of Sallu’s health and work preoccupations.

About his absence from the wedding, a friend of the ‘Dabangg’ star said, “Salman was completely cut off in Cuba and couldn’t make it to the wedding, but he has been planning just how to mark the occasion.”

Talking to a daily, a source said, “Salman has already sent his best wishes to the couple. He’ll meet them as soon as he is back in the city.”

Well, it seems there are still more surprises in store for Riteish and Genelia.

Pooja Bedi to file a case against Colors TV ? (India)

The fifth season of Colors' Bigg Boss has been a controversy magnet right from the word go. 

The evicted contestants have declared war on twitter and are supporting their friends inside the house and have not spared even a big star like Salman Khan. After Bedi decided to go public about her views on Salman not treating Sky properly and 'trying to demoralise, confuse, hurt and lie to him', Reports surfaced that she has been asked to be away from the finale. Rumours suggest that the channel has taken this step because she spoke against the show, the host and its contestants.

According to our sources, "The channel, at the last minute cancelled her performances and banned her without giving any explanation. A rather upset Pooja Bedi is planning to file a case against the channel and the production house. As per the contract, every contestant participates in the finale but the channel cancelled her performance four days ago without giving out a proper reason. It's nothing but the power game."

Says a disheartened Pooja, "I am taken aback. It's in my contract that I am to attend finale. They blocked my dates and even informed me I was to do a medley. And three days ago abruptly the production house informed me that I was to not attend the finale. They told me that it was the channel's decision, however, the channel blamed the production house.

They are putting blame on each other, no one is taking responsibility for the decision and no one is giving me a valid explanation. Other contestants were banned but have now been re-invited. It's all very bizarre! Perhaps a legal notice is only way to get some logical/valid answers for this abrupt decision and why no one is taking responsibility! I am contemplating.. Not sure! Why are they singling me out?

CONFIRMED: Salman Khan to host ‘Bigg Boss 6’ (India)

According to the report of Zee News, after two consecutive stints as a host in ‘Bigg Boss’ season 4 and 5, Salman Khan is keen to anchor the sixth season of the popular reality show.

According to sources, Salman Khan has agreed to host the sixth season of ‘Bigg Boss’.

Salman Khan was rarely seen in the fifth season- as he was simultaneously shooting for his forthcoming film ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, but he always ensured that whenever he was in Mumbai he gave Sanjay Dutt company on the show.

Bigg Boss seems to have caught Salman’s fancy big time. The actor, even though refused to make small screen appearance by hosting ‘Dus Ka Dum’, wants to be a part of Big Boss reportedly because he likes the hungama of BB.

Salman received positive feedback when he first appeared on the show as the anchor of the fourth season. Owing to his popularity, he was roped in for the fifth season as well. Looks like he set for a hattrick!

Sunny Leone's past should not be held against her: Katju (India)

According to Zee News India's Report, wading into the debate over appearance of Sunny Leone on reality show Big Boss, Press Council of India Chairperson Justice Markandey Katju on Monday said the American porn star's past should not be held against her if her behaviour in India is "socially acceptable".

Leone, when she was in America had not broken any American laws and that Indians were broad minded and liberal people who should take the matter in that spirit, he said.

"Sunny Leone was earning her livelihood in USA in a manner acceptable in that country, though it is not acceptable in India. Hence if she conducts herself in India in a manner which is socially acceptable in India and does not breach the social moral code in India, we should not treat her as a social outcast," Katju said in a statement.

The Press Council chairperson also said that he had not been shown anything to suggest that she is indulging in pornography while in India.

Citing historical and religious figures, he said, "Lord Buddha stayed with the courtesan Amrapali and ate food served by her, and she later became his disciple."

"Similarly, Mary Magdalene was a fallen woman (according to the Gospel of Luke as interpreted by Pope Gregory) and Jesus allowed her to wash his feet and she later became his disciple," he noted.

There is no saint without a past and no sinner without a future, Katju said. A complaint over the Broadcast Consumers Complaint Council's (BCCC) inaction over the appearance of Leone which had been sent to Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni had been marked to Katju as well, sources said.

Leone's appearance on the Colors Channels show Big Boss has been a subject of controversy for quite some time. BCCC had recently directed that Leone does not use the show to promote her pornography business.
The BCCC, however, had not found anything in the content of the show Bigg Boss - 5 which by itself was offensive of self-regulatory guidelines. As many as 38 complaints had been made to the BCCC regarding Leone's appearance.

Juhi was sure she would win ‘Bigg Boss’

Mumbai: After three months of grilling, finally Juhi Parmar walked out of the Bigg Boss as the season 5 winner and best surviving housemate.

Juhi of the ‘Kumkum’ fame thinks this is going to bring her career in TV a great push and she is all set for her second innings.

Recently Juhi spoke to a daily about her experience in the Bigg Boss house. She almost felt sure she would win the show as her inmates felt the same too.

She also feels had Mehak Chahal won the show it would have made viewers doubtful of the shows credibility.

“Most of the inmates weren`t fond of Mahek. Her wild card entry in the show as a didn`t go down well with many contestants. It was a privilege for her. Uski entry toh almost finals mein hi thi. We have seen how she would get into brawls. If that`s what the viewers also saw, then maybe they think the same. I don`t have anything against Mahek, but this is the truth. Before Salman and Sanjay announced my name, they asked the ex-inmates who they thought would be the winner. About 90% of them suggested my name,” she said.

Juhi Parmar wins Bigg Boss 5 (India)

According to the report of Zee News, continuing the previous season’s trend when television’s favourite bahu Prerna aka Shweta Tiwari went on to win the controversial reality show, another TV actress and favourite bahu of many households Juhi ‘Kumkum’ Parmar won Bigg Boss5.

The results were announced in a star studded event where everyone from Rakhi Sawant to Malaika Arora Khan performed.

The actress, who was among the first 13 contestants to enter the house on Oct 2, 2011, pipped actress Mahek Chahal and Siddharth Bhardwaj to win the show, and took home the prize money of Rs.1 crore.

Much talked about and host Salman Khan’s reported ‘favourite’, actress Mahek Chahal of ‘Wanted’ fame came second.

Others in the top five included Amar Upadhyay, Akashdeep Saigal aka Sky and Siddharth Bhardwaj.

At the grand event, Malaika Arora put up her famous Munni act and also performed to her other hit numbers like ‘Hoth Raseele’ and ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’.

Karan Johar and Imran Khan also came and promoted their film ‘Ek Main Ekk Tu’ on the show.

Shakti Kapoor was seen gyrating into some popular numbers with the Big Boss beauties. And Sunny Leone, who is all set to make her Bollywood debut, danced to the tunes of ‘Saadi Galli’ and ‘Jugni’.

Contestants from the previous seasons of ‘Bigg Boss’- Rakhi Sawant and Dolly Bindra - also made an appearance on the show and talked about their experience while they were inside the ‘Bigg Boss’ house.

While Pooja Bedi was banned from the grand finale, Pooja Missra was seen performing to a medley.

The fifth season of the show was in controversy for many reasons, from violent contestants like Pooja Missra to out rightly irritating behaviour of Sky But the major controversy that cropped up when actress Pooja Bedi, after her eviction accused Salman Khan of favouritism and targeting Sky.

The entry of porn queen Sunny Leone also grabbed headlines and the internet media was kept abuzz constantly with her stories. In fact, because of her stint in the show, she managed to grab the sequel of the Pooja Bhatt directed ‘Jism’.

Is Shah Rukh nervous about working with Katrina? (Bollywood 2012- India)

According to the report of Zee News, wary of his strained relationship with Salman Khan, Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan asked Katrina whether she was comfortable working with him in Yash Chopra’s next considering his differences with her ex-boyfriend – Salman.

A thorough gentleman that he is, SRK wanted to clarify certain issues with Katrina which bothered him in the past. Apparently, Katrina reassured the actor that she had no reservations working with him.

Talking to a daily, a source said, “In the past Salman has disrupted shoots featuring his former girlfriends. The shoot of Aziz Mirza’s ‘Chalte Chalte’ had to be stopped when Salman barged in on the sets of the film. Deciding to avoid the risk of facing disruption once again, Shah Rukh replaced Aishwarya Rai with Rani Mukerji in the project back then.”

“Perhaps it was due to past experience that SRK asked Katrina before beginning the shoot with someone as senior as Yash Chopra,” the source said.

“Shah Rukh wanted no problems on the sets. Yashji is over 75-years-old. He is directing a film after a long time. Only when Katrina assured Shah Rukh that there was no question of any intrusion did he agree to start the shoot,” revealed the source.

“Katrina’s equation with Salman is very clear. They’re very good friends. But if he does the ex-boyfriend act with her, he will lose her goodwill for good. For Shah Rukh who has been through some nightmarish experiences with Salman, the tranquil equation that Katrina shares with Salman was not easy to understand. Having understood the equation Shah Rukh now feels he can shoot the film in a relaxed atmosphere,” added the source.

According to Zee News India's Report, Sunny Leone’s stint on ‘Bigg Boss 5’ might have ended but her tryst with Bollywood has just begun. Even before Sunny got evicted from BB, the stunner caught fancies of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and if the latest buzz is to be believed, Salman Khan too seems to have developed a liking for her.


Rumour mills suggest Salman, who had committed to model Angela Johnson for his next film ‘Sher Khan’, is now planning to make a change in the lead after watching Sunny Leone spice up the reality show.
